The bee was also a vital symbol of French industry and one of the most prominent emblems of the French Revolution (1789–1799) It symbolizes strength, feminism, bringers of life and abundance.  Napoleon ensured that the Bee was widely adopted in his court on clothing, draperies, carpets, and furniture across France.
